The craft

Six yards, four thousand hand-thrown picks

A single Kanjivaram takes a weaving family up to twenty days on the pit loom. We visit the clusters ourselves, choose the palettes with them, and pay before the saree ever reaches a customer. Nothing here is printed to look handwoven — it simply is.

Every drape arrives with the weaver's name, the loom it came off, and how to care for it through Indian summers and monsoons.

From the studio

"A saree should feel like the day you're wearing it into."

We started Nool because festive shopping had begun to feel like scrolling through identical photographs. So we kept it small: fewer sarees, chosen carefully, shown on real drapes, with the story plainly on the label.
